FTZ (Foreign-Trade Zone)
Foreign-Trade Zones are areas, designated by the US Department
of Commerce, Foreign-Trade Zones Board, under the supervision
of the US Customs Service. For the purpose of duty assessment,
goods entered into the zone are considered to be outside the
commerce of the United States and, therefore, no duty is paid
while in the zone.
The DPH is the Grantee of Foreign-Trade Zone #81, which includes
5 sites and 1 subzone (Westinghouse Electric):
- The Market Street Terminal, 11 acres
- Portsmouth Industrial Park, 75 acres
- Dover Industrial Park, 50 acres
- Manchester Airport, 1400 acres
- Pease International Tradeport, 1900 acres
